Sneak Peek: Our Holiday Housewarming
Our house is officially a crazy place where our dining table is covered in platters, there's a curtain serving as a makeshift Christmas tree skirt, and I'm using my craft boxes is a coffee table. So what's up? We're prepping for our housewarming! With the holidays upon us, Gus and I figured there's no time like now to have a few close friends over to celebrate our new place and (dun dun dun) 6 whole months of marriage! Ahh, can't believe that one. It all goes by so quickly.
But anyway... I'm knee deep in delicious prep for our party which will be a cookie exchange. I've never been to one myself but I figured since this is our first party bigger than 8 people, we better get some yummy insurance in the form of asking everyone to bring some of their favorite cookies. Can't wait to see what our friends decide to bake up (or decide to buy and cleverly package on a plate)! I've also gone a little nuts having fun with this concept, complete with stickers, printables, multiple varieties of sprinkles and marshmallows, and even a cookie-themed activity. Lots to do and look forward to but it should all make for a great reveal next week here on anniemade.
Next week, I will not only share the awesomeness (...hopeful awesomeness) of our party but I'll also introduce you to our humble little abode and talk a little bit about our decorating future ahead. There be many a DIY project in its future for sure. (Not sure why I said that like a pirate, but oh well).
Til then, hope you enjoy the invitation I designed as a digital card below. For posting, I've removed a few details but you get the picture- it's going to be nom.
By the way, please note I'll be adding custom invitation and save the date design to my store in the new year and welcome custom graphic design work. Just message me if you have something in mind - no matter how big or small.
Have you ever hosted a housewarming? Any tips for a couple of newbies like us?
